CleanEquity Monaco 2010 Update

London, Feb 4, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - CleanEquity Monaco 2010, the foremost event for next generation clean and green technology will take place March 4th and 5th. An expert selection of the world's most inspiring cleantech companies will be presenting to invited industry-specific financial and strategic investors, policy makers, legislators and media from all over the world.

Arup, the global design, engineering and integrated planning firm, is joining the consortium of contributors this year. Arup provides sustainability advice on a wide range of environmental, social and economic issues. These services can be provided either alone or as part of a package, incorporating the firm's wider planning, design, engineering and management skills. Arup's expertise also helps to shape policy. The firm has been working with businesses and national and regional governments to develop policy on carbon management and climate change, as well as ensuring that a ll issues are considered as part of its design and consultancy work. It is the only private sector partner of the C40.

The keynote speaker will be Jigar Shah. A renowned visionary, Jigar, CEO of the Carbon War Room, is committed to renewable energy and sustainable solutions that enable prosperity. He is dedicated to identifying business-as-usual practices and replacing them with low-carbon solutions. Jigar founded SunEdison in 2003 and revolutionised the solar industry by introducing a business model to sell solar as a service. He created a multi-billion dollar industry. Jigar also managed mergers & acquisitions, corporate strategy, and sales efforts for BP Solar's national commercial accounts. He is an expert on energy project finance, changing energy policy, working with entrenched stakeholders, and convincing individuals to embrace new energy technology. He works closely with leading world influencers and guides policy makers around the globe.

CleanEquity Monaco's regional host is the Monaco Chamber of Economic Development; other local partners include Prince Albert II of Monaco's Foundation, the Monte Carlo SBM, and the Stelios Philanthropic Foundation.
