BANGKOK, May 28, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Thoresen Thai Agencies Pcl (SET:TTA) recently announced its appointment of Mr. Jitender Pal Verma as Senior Executive Vice President and Group CFO and promotion of Mr. Sigmund Stromme to Executive Vice President for Shipping & Logistics businesses. TTA CEO cited the moves as an indication of the management's commitment to robust and strong corporate growth and to becoming a SET50 firm soon, saying that the engagement of two international professional veterans confirms the company's goal of achieving global recognition and will help in expansion of the company's international network.

Mr. Verma brings with him diversified international business experience of more than 25 years in various fields of retail, electronics, metal, manufacturing and real estate development sector. He has lived and worked in four different countries at Senior to Board level leadership positions in finance and operations. His most recent role was Executive Director and CFO at Jindal Stainless Limited. He also served Dole Food Inc., a US Fortune 500 MNC in various capacities such as Finance Director, Thailand; Regional Treasurer, Asia, based at Hong Kong; Finance Director - Asia, based in Manila. He also served Seagate Technologies, a US Fortune 500 MNC as Director - Finance.
Mr. Stromme will be responsible for the business under Shipping & Logistics of TTA, whose main companies are Thoresen Shipping Singapore Pte. Ltd., PM Thoresen Asia Holdings Plc., Baconco Co., Ltd., Petrolift Inc. and Chidlom Marine Services & Supplies Co., Ltd. Mr. Stromme has over 37 years of experiences in the shipping industry and has actively developed further investment in the Maritime and industrial/Logistics sector in the Indochina region. He has been with TTA group for over 12 years and delivered his strong operational records in the land and sea transportation, marine logistics, ship agency, forwarding, ports, warehouse and fertilizer industries. His proven strong leadership is demonstrated clearly in his current role as Chairman of Baconco, our high-growth fertilizer and warehouse company in Vietnam, through double-digit growth for 6 consecutive years.
