Vacuum-steam-cleaner.com: Japan Plans to Invest $1.3 Billion to Develop Supercomputer

BEIJING, Aug 16, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent research of Vacuum-steam-cleaner.com, in the latest update of the world's top 500 supercomputers in June, Japan's Fujitsu's supercomputer code-named "K" exceeded China's Tianhe-1A supercomputer and ranked the first.

Vacuum-steam-cleaner.com (http://vacuum-steam-cleaner.com/) reports that it is the first time that Japan got this ranking since 2004. The Japanese Government is undertaking a new plan to develop a computer that conduct Exascale calculation in 2020. This kind of computer will be able to process one million trillion operations. It would be 100 times more powerful than K.

The analyst of Vacuum-steam-cleaner.com points out that the cost of the new scheme is estimated nearly $ 1.3 billion, and now NEC, Fujitsu has been discussing the details of the project in Japan's RIKEN. Japan's goal is to maintain its leading position in the multi-country supercomputer race.

In the February of this year, the U.S. government had set aside $ 126 million from the budget of 2012 fiscal year for the development of supercomputer Exascale. Vacuum-steam-cleaner.com analyzes that the supercomputer can be used to predict earthquakes and other natural disasters, analyze the climate change and explore the outer space.
