Electric-equipments.com: HP Continued to Lead The Global PC Market in Q3

BEIJING, Oct 13, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - According to the recent released data of Electric-equipments.com, Hewlett-Packard in the third quarter of 2011 continued to occupy the first place in the global PC market. Lenovo moved up to the second place, continuing the growing momentum in the environment of the decreasing demand.

Electric-equipments.com (http://www.electric-equipments.com/products/) reports that in the third quarter of 2011, the PC shipments in the world are over 91.78 million units, an increase of 3.2%. The PC shipments in the third quarter increased slightly compared with the second quarter. In the third quarter, HP's worldwide PC market share was 17.7%. In the United States, HP's market share was 28.6%. Dell's market share was 21.9%. Apple's market share was 11.3%.

Electric-equipments.com points out that HP, Lenovo and Apple have the strongest growth. Lenovo increased its market share through the joint venture with NEC. Media tablet PCs and smart mobile phones snatched some of the PC sales. The analysts of Electric-equipments.com say that when Hewlett-Packard assesses whether to spin off its PC busines, the data of PC's market share is important. In the third quarter, the top five vendors of the global PC market are Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Dell, Acer and Asus successively.
