| Company provides two-to-one match for employee donations American Red Cross relief efforts |
VICTOR, N.Y., Nov 9, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Constellation Brands, Inc. (CBI), (NYSE: STZ and STZ.B), the world's leading premium wine company, announced today it will match employee donations two-to-one, up to $100,000, to the American Red Cross (ARC) in support of Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. CBI is also encouraging its employees across the U.S. to participate in local blood drives as there is a shortage of donated blood in the areas impacted by last week's super storm.
"Over a dozen CBI employees and many of our business partners in the New York City and New Jersey area have suffered various levels of hardship as a result of this historic storm," said Rob Sands, president and chief executive officer, CBI. "Our employees shared the pain of power loss, property damage and other normal-life inconveniences along with our neighbors and business partners in the hard-hit communities. In the Greater Rochester, N.Y. area, CBI has also teamed up with Rochester General Hospital, InterVol, a non-profit organization dedicated to serving people through the recovery and redistribution of medical supplies and Sea Breeze Volunteer Fire Department. Employees can donate non-perishable food, clothing, water, toiletries, diapers and baby formula food, which will be transported to those people impacted in Staten Island and Brooklyn.
