Hays Quarterly Report: Hot Jobs for 2013

TOKYO, Jan 16, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Medical Science Liaison Officers, Indirect Procurement Specialists and Executive Secretaries are among the candidates in hottest demand as we welcome 2013, with many employers now already starting to action their hiring needs in preparation for the year ahead, according to the latest Hays Quarterly Report.

According to the Hays Quarterly Report, out now and covering January to March 2013, pockets of shortages for specific skills remain in a number of sectors including life sciences and supply chain.

"Employers are this quarter discussing hiring plans for 2013 with actual hiring likely to begin in February and March when businesses know who is staying, and who is not, after the bonus season," says Christine Wright, Operations Director of Hays in Asia.

"Employers who are already aggressively hiring, such as in the HR sector, also have high expectations of candidates. The budget is tight for some businesses, so they are very careful with their selection. But employers need to have a quick recruitment process if they want to secure good talent as some candidates are receiving multiple offers."
