Velodyne Cultivates Global Artistic Canvas and Music Experience, Integrating Musical Art in International Events
Velodyne Acoustics attends three events in one weekend: Bottle Rock, PULSE, and High End, Munich

San Francisco, May 23, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - Inundating the art and music world, Velodyne took the spotlight on the international stage, at three art/music-oriented events in California, New York, and Munich, Germany all in one weekend: May 9-12. Showing support for the arts and charity, Velodyne jammed with music fanatics at Bottle Rock Music Festival in Napa Valley, collaborated with contemporary artists at PULSE Art Fair in NYC, and impressed the audiophiles at Europe's largest consumer electronics show, High End Munich. Featuring their newest line of headphones at each event, Velodyne also introduced their artistic customizable skins, integrating high performance sound with artistic designer skins to accessorize.

First, a short hop away from Velodyne Headquarters, Velodyne Inc. proudly partnered with Bottle Rock in Napa Valley, joining such headliners as The Black Keys, Kings of Leon, and Zac Brown Band in supporting local and national charities. Festival attendees were invited to express themselves and design their own headphone skins and enter them in Velodyne's competition to win a free pair of vFree Bluetooth wireless headphones. The winner will be announced on Velodyne.com in the next week. Velodyne's street team enthusiastically pumped up the crowd with bass-boosting, high performing headphones with exciting customizable skins.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, Velodyne joined the painters, photographers, and other contemporary artists provided a feast for the eyes and ears with artistic headphones, with an exhibition at PULSE Art Fair in NYC. Featuring vFree special promotion and artistic skins, Velodyne collaborated with one Pulse artist, Allison Green of Susan Eley Fine Art Gallery. Green created a display of beautifully custom designed skins, matching her own exhibition at Pulse. The exhibition was well received by artists and art-lovers alike, and the integration of music and art was appreciated by all.

Extending their reach to the other side of the Atlantic, Velodyne also showcased its celebrated audio products at the prestigious International Trade Fair, High End Munich. Velodyne occupied a space on the second floor to showcase their launch of headphone products. One could rock out as they enjoyed music coming from the
"Wall of Sound," with forty speakers made by Sonus faber, while Velodyne provided a wall of personal listening, introducing the vFree, vQuiet, and the vTrue headphones. Recently in the news and on spotlight, the vFree wireless headphone was shown with artistic skins, custom-designed to fit snuggly onto the headphones and snap effortlessly on and off for easy interchangeability. The skins on view were one-of-a-kind by artists for and offered in limited, printed editions. Next to the vFree, one could try the vQuiet, a noise cancelling headphone with advanced technology, accomplished with a proprietary circuit board. The headphone was made to reduce jet engine noise and exterior sounds, at the same time deliver full bodied music. The vQuiet was handsome in matte black with a brilliant blue badge, like a gem in the center of each ear cup.

Alongside the vQuiet and vFree headphones was the vTrue, Velodyne's Reference headphone made of hand brushed aluminum ear cups, steel, and soft leather with a 50MM driver for pure and powerful sound. It's slim profile and style was notably different from the many high-end, aviator style headphones with hinged round ear cups at the show. Much of the first floor of the show was devoted to headphones.

The Velodyne artistic headphones were perfectly suited for the High End show alongside other finely crafted brands. Sonus Faber showed its line of nearly twenty elegant, finely crafted speakers, each standing on adjustable legs at a tilt to deliver sound at an optimal angle. They looked like figures nodding to each other in conversation. Highly innovative and artistic, Vero presented two, six foot, Greek-urn-like, carbon cabinet speakers. Dali Fazon offered limited edition speakers, air-brushed by hand with images of feathers, Divas, and tattoo art.

Next month, Velodyne will return to NYC for the highly anticipated CE Week line show June 24-28th at the Metropolitan Pavilion, to exhibit their full line of headphones, skins, and to fuse fashion and technology at the FashionWare show on June 26th.
