Singapore, May 15, 2009 - (ACN Newswire) - He orchestrated one of the most successful social and new media campaigns which contributed to United States President Barack Obama's historical win last year. This year, Scott Goodstein will share his experience on the Barack Obama Media Campaign at the BroadcastAsia2009 International Conference in Singapore.
With social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter boasting millions of members, new media is changing the way the world communicates. In todays challenging economy, companies and organisations are further urged to look for new ways to market their products, engage their customers and using social networking tools to extend their brands or profiles.
At BroadcastAsia2009 International Conference, Mr Goodstein will speak on how he effectively used interactive digital media such as mobile broadcasting and social networking communities to engage Obamas voters. He will also demonstrate how industry players can bank on new media applications and create add-on opportunities to generate additional revenue streams for their broadcasting businesses.
Besides Scott Goodstein, the conference - encompassing eight different programmes - will also have more than 90 key speakers from industry leaders such as BBC, IBM, Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK), MediaCorp, Microsoft Corporation, Motorola Asia Pacific and NTT Corporation, discussing the key issues of today and tomorrow.
Developed through years of experience and condensed and delivered in a digestible format in four days, the conference is an opportunity to gather with peers to share and identify the directions for the industry.
For the first time this year, the conference will have an Opening Plenary for all delegates, speakers and invited guests. As the world anticipates the economic recovery, it is appropriate that this plenary session seeks to understand if perceived "problems" are in fact opportunities. Participants of the plenary will also be able to learn from fellow contributors about how forced reassessment and changes in the industry which can be beneficial in the long term, by bringing more efficient and greener solutions.
Some key issues that will be discussed over the four-day conference are: - Embrace and engage the future of broadcasting business - Realising the opportunities of IPTV - New Media World & Web 2.0 - Growth of mobile multimedia, and - Expanding the opportunities of radio in the New Media landscape
"We are constantly growing the conference each year to best meet the demands and needs of the media, broadcasting, multimedia and entertainment industries. This year is no exception," says Calvin Koh, Senior Project Manager of the shows organiser Singapore Exhibition Services (SES). "With this year's conference line up, participants will once again be able to learn about the latest innovations and gain insights on strategies that matter most to their businesses and consumers."
Held with the conference is BroadcastAsia2009, Asia's most comprehensive digital multimedia and entertainment technology exhibition. The exhibition will feature key technologies that draw huge interest and demand from the market such as Broadcast-to-Handheld/Mobile TV, Digital Media Asset Management, High-Definition Technology, IPTV, Mobile Broadcasting and Professional Audio Technology.
