HONG KONG, Apr 25, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - CT Environmental Group Limited ("CTEG" or the "Group;" stock code: 1363) and the Guangzhou Badminton Association have collaborated in organising the "CTEG Cup" Guangzhou Badminton Champion Game 2014 at the Guangzhou Badminton Sports Management Centre in Guangzhou Tianhe Sports Centre from 19 to 20 April. CTEG was the flagship sponsor of the event, aiming to promote badminton and encourage the public to adopt a healthier lifestyle through regular exercise.

The event attracted strong support from the Guangzhou Municipal Government. Participants included Mr. LIN Yuan He, the former chairman of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference Guangzhou Committee (CPPCCGC), Mr. FU Han Xun and Mr. GUO Xi Ling, both the former deputy chairman of CPPCCGC, Mr. XIE Chang Jing, the deputy director of Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, Ms. GUAN Wei Zhen, the chairman of GBA, Mr. TAN Tian Xian, the deputy director of Radio Guangdong, Mr. JI Ke Guang, the director of CPPCCGC of Proposals, Mr. YUAN Zheng Xiong, the deputy director of CPPCCGC of Education. Mr. LU Yi Li, the Executive Director and Managing Director of CTEG and other badminton aficionados watched the games and cheer for the players.
This Champion Game adopted the theme of "Building a Green Community and Scaling New Heights of Sportsmanship". More than 30 teams have participated, including Team One and Team Two of Guangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau, China Merchants Bank Team, Guangzhou Masters Team and other amateurs from badminton clubs, generating keen competition. The game had youth, adult and masters categories. The top teams in the youth category were the Julong Team, Taihai Team and Taikangcheng Team; the winners in the adult category were the International Medicine Port Team, the Antosun Team and the Lijie Badminton Club; and the winners of the masters category were the Ashaway Hart Team, the Celton Team and the Guangzhou Masters Team.
As a positive fitness activity, badminton plays a significant role in promoting the health and well-being of the general public.
