Having selected the ideal heifers, the team was successfully transported by air cargo from Melbourne, Australia to the integrated dairy farm facility in East Java, Indonesia. A second team of 600 cows are expected to arrive in East Java in August.

"This is a milestone and an exciting time for Greenfields Milk," said Jan Gert Vistisen, Head of Sales and Marketing, AustAsia Food Pte Ltd. "As the demand for fresh milk and dairy has grown across Southesast Asia, so too has Greenfields Milk. We look forward to welcoming these 1,200 heifers to their new home, beginning this period of significant growth for Greenfields, and continuing to provide the highest quality and freshest milk to Southeast Asia."

Currently home to over 6,000 Holstein cows, the East Java site is set to expand and grow in the near future to enable Greenfields Milk to better meet growing milk and dairy demand across Southeast Asia. This acquisition of 1,200 new cows is the first step in the expansion plans for Greenfields Milk which is set to more than double its annual milk production within the next two years.

To ensure their products are delivered to consumers as fresh as possible, Greenfields Milk undergoes a single-pasteurisation process and is sealed directly at its integrated facility in Gunung Kawi, East Java, Indonesia. In keeping with the company's promise to produce 'Honest Milk', Greenfields Milk is always completely free of milk solids, additives, preservatives and hormones.
