TOKYO, Apr 7, 2015 - (JCN Newswire) - Fujitsu announced today that the space-saving Fujitsu M10-1 as well as the compact Fujitsu M10-4 mid-range servers are now available worldwide in additional configurations featuring the new 3.7GHz SPARC64 X+ 8 core processors providing approximately 30 percent performance improvements(1). When coupled with the Fujitsu M10 servers' industry-leading compute capability, the enhanced servers can cut batch processing times for business data and tackle a broad range of Big Data analyses - from such sources as SNS, sensors and mobile devices - to accelerate decision making and increase business productivity.
The Fujitsu M10 server family(2) running Oracle Solaris provides performance and flexible capacity to meet the growing needs of organizations across all industries. The new Fujitsu M10-1 and M10-4 models offer the same higher per core performance of the high-end Fujitsu M10-4S server. The per core performance is calculated by dividing measured per socket values by the number of cores per socket.
38.4 per core = divided by 8 cores, where 307 is measured with the following conditions.
- Fujitsu M10-server with SPARC64 X+ (3.7GHz, 8 core) processor
- Oracle Solaris 11.2 SRU6.4
- Version 12.4 of Oracle Solaris Studio
29.3 per core = 468 divided by 16 cores, where 468 is measured with the following conditions.
- Fujitsu M10-1 server with SPARC64 X+ (3.2GHz, 16 core) processor
