HONG KONG, May 15, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Dah Sing Life Assurance Company Limited ("Dah Sing Life" or the "Company") has today announced the launch of the brand new "Cancer Protection Benefit" ("Rider") along with a first-year premium discount providing customers with comprehensive cancer protection at an affordable premium. To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Company, customers who successfully subscribe to the "Cancer Protection Benefit" from today to 30 June 2015 ("promotion period") may be entitled to a 25% first-year premium discount.
The newly-launched Rider protection covers cancer and related complications caused by cancer, encompassing all cancer treatment stages, from diagnostic examination, hospitalisation and cancer treatment, reconstructive surgery to post-treatment monitoring . The maximum benefit payable in respect of each covered cancer is HK$1,500,000, reimbursed at cost, and a lifetime cancer benefit up to the limit of HK$4,500,000 is also provided. The Rider is guaranteed for renewal until the insured reaches the age of 100 without further underwriting, regardless of any changes to the health conditions and claims history of the insured after the insurance policy has come into effect.
The Rider includes two innovative protections rarely seen in the current market, including cancer fertility benefit and stem cell transplant benefit. Moreover, additional caring benefit of up to HK$100,000 is offered, covering expenses of follow-up out-patient consultation including Chinese medicine practitioners and Chinese medicine, physiotherapy and dietician consultation, as well as psychological counseling, home nursing and medical appliances. In addition, spurred by the belief of prevention is better than cure, Dah Sing Life encourages customers to undergo regular check-ups by offering them a value-adding preventive cancer screening service at preferential rate at its designated clinics. In the unfortunate case that the insured is diagnosed with covered cancer, the "Second Medical Opinion Services" provided by leading medical experts can be arranged .
