Mitsubishi Motors to sign agreement to sponsor Japan's representative team

TOKYO, Dec 21, 2015 - (JCN Newswire) - Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) today announced that it will sign an agreement with the Japan SR Association (JSRA) for official sponsorship of the Sun Wolves, Japan's representative team in the Super Rugby league where teams from top countries compete in.

Under the agreement with JSRA, MMC's company name will appear on the team's official uniform (left sleeve) as well as at the game venues. The contract will run for five years until 2020.

With increasing attention to Super Rugby both in Japan and worldwide, MMC believes sponsoring the Sun Wolves can contribute in promoting and vitalizing sports as well as spreading awareness of MMC.

Super Rugby 2016 will start from the end of February 2016, played by 18 teams in five countries worldwide (Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Republic of South Africa, and Argentina). The games will be broadcasted internationally.
