Tokyo, Apr 1, 2007 - (ACN Newswire) - ACN Newswire, the Asian press release distributor, is pleased to announce a strategic business agreements with Hugin, the company press release subsidiary of the Euronext stock exchange.
The agreements will allow ACN to offer Asian companies a convenient, integrated press release distribution service including additional Pan-European distribution through Hugin and Companynews, fulfilling new European (EU) Transparency Directives that came into effect on January 20, 2007.
The new EU Transparency Directive covers the content and regularity with which regulated UK or European listed companies should report financial information to the market, including first and third quarter management statements - with forward looking statements, among other things – in addition to annual and half-yearly financial reports.
In addition, companies will now be obliged to disclose regulated information on a pan-European basis and through recommended channels in the UK, and in Europe - such as Hugin - ensuring that company news is distributed to institutional investors, individual investors, financial media and the general public at exactly the same time.
Hugin has been sending client press releases to Japan through JCN Newswire since 2005, but the new agreements will allow for ACN Newswire to send press releases from Asian companies through the Hugin regulatory news system into Europe – in French, German, Spanish, Italian and all local languages.
