MHI Wins Place in Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index
- Selection Reflects Strong ESG Performance -

TOKYO, Sept 12, 2017 - (JCN Newswire) - Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI) has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia Pacific Index, one of the world's leading investment indices for ESG(1) performance. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI), developed by S&P Dow Jones and RobecoSAM, select companies based on various economic, environmental and social criteria to assess overall long-term sustainability.

The other is MSCI Japan's Empowering Women Index (WIN), which identifies Japanese companies that are empowering women in the workforce and addressing diversity issues. Both of these indices have been adopted by Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF) - the world's largest pension fund.
