Singapore, June 21, 2008 - (ACN Newswire) - Black & Veatch, a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company, have announced that the company's senior leadership will make presentations during the inaugural Singapore International Water Week held 23-27 June.
Black & Veatch's Chairman, President and CEO, Len C. Rodman, "Cities of the Future" on 25 June. "This is an excellent venue to present insights about the critical issues that are surrounding water scarcity and energy assurance, and how these issues impact our clients and communities around the world," Rodman said.
In addition, Dan McCarthy, President and CEO of Black & Veatch's global water business, will make a special presentation, titled "Envisioning a Secure Water Future," on 25 June. McCarthy also serves as an advisory group member for the Singapore International Water Week and will be involved in chairing or co-chairing of two sessions focused on the business of water.

Water practice and technology leaders and other professionals from Black & Veatch are participating in seven technical sessions, chairing or co-chairing five sessions, co-chairing the Australian Business Forum and presenting two poster sessions at the inaugural Singapore International Water Week.
The Singapore International Water Week is the global platform for water solutions that aims to bring the who's who of the water industry together to address challenges, showcase technologies, discover opportunities and celebrate achievements in the water world. Comprising the Water Leaders Summit, Water Convention, Water Expo and Water Festival, it culminates in the presentation of the Lee Kuan Yew Water Prize, a prestigious international award to recognise outstanding contributions in solving global water issues. Jonathan Clement, a Global Practice and Technology Leader with Black & Veatch, is the leader of the Water Convention's Technology Track. "We spent a great deal of time carefully designing focused sessions where people can learn about subjects that are very critical at this time," he said. Clement will be speaker at the Water Convention and will also provide a summary of the Keynote Speech at the first session of the Water Technology Solutions track of the Water Convention on 25 June.

Additionally, conference participants will have the opportunity to tour plant sites that Black & Veatch has played a major role in; these include the Marina Barrage, the SingSpring Desalination plant and the Chestnut Avenue Waterworks.
