Largest-Ever OSEA Draws Record Participation from Global Oil and Gas Companies
Milestone Fuelled by Strong Growth of Marine and Offshore Industry in Singapore

SINGAPORE, Nov 30, 2010 - (ACN Newswire) - OSEA2010, the biggest oil and gas event in the Asia Pacific region will feature 1,362 exhibitors from 47 countries and regions when it opens its doors from 30 November - 3 December 2010. The trade show will occupy a record 25,000 square metres of exhibition space at Suntec Singapore. It is 15 per cent bigger than the previous edition in 2008 and the largest in the event's 34-year history. The four-day event will showcase the newest technologies and solutions from industry giants and is the choice networking and sourcing platform for professionals. Some 22,000 business and thought leaders, industry professionals and government officials from 60 countries and regions are expected to attend this biennial trade event.

Located in Singapore, a strategic hub for the global marine and offshore industry, OSEA2010 has benefited from the acceleration of offshore exploration and production activities in and beyond the region. The global offshore operations and maintenance expenditure is projected to total US$330 billion from 2010 - 2014 , with the projection for 2014 showing a two-fold growth over figures in 2005.

The Singapore marine and offshore engineering industry, having carved a reputation for consistent high quality and timely delivery, has grown consistently over the past five years, with 2009's total industry output at S$20.1 billion. The country maintains its position as the world leader in the building of jack-up rigs, offshore platforms and Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading vessels (FPSO) units holding a global market share of more than 70 per cent.

Some of the world's largest oil and gas companies have looked to Singapore to set up operations, R&D and manufacturing facilities to take advantage of the consistent high quality of services here. In line with the rising importance of the marine and offshore industry in Singapore, OSEA2010 has expanded to accommodate the increasing demand for more sophisticated technologies and solutions from companies; anchoring its position as the eminent sourcing and networking platform for the industry.

The premium status of OSEA2010 is evident in the strong assemblage of exhibitors, especially with the debut of East Asia Power Pte Ltd, ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, Gates Engineering & Services, Halcyon Offshore Pte Ltd, SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad, to name a few. OSEA continues to offer unparalleled variety and opportunities from repeat exhibitors like Bartec Pte Ltd, Gaylin International Pte Ltd, Gazprom, IHC Merwede B.V., McDermott Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, Keppel FELS Limited, KS Energy Group, KTL Offshore Pte Ltd, Parker Hannifin Singapore Pte Ltd, Rico (Pte) Ltd, Thermal Limitec, Weidmuller Pte Ltd and more.

The show also sees an increase in the number of group pavilions from eight in 2008 to 10 this year from Australia, China, Denmark*, Finland*, Italy, Netherlands*, Norway, Singapore, United Kingdom and United States (* denotes new pavilions).

Focus on health, safety and environment issues has escalated as the damaging effects of oil and gas incidents hit companies across the world. The inaugural OSEA2010 Leaders' Summit will examine how these pressing concerns impact oil and gas companies and review strategies to overcome challenges in integrating effective Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) practices.

Following the OSEA2010 Leaders' Summit, the OSEA2010 International Conference will feature relevant topics, case studies and panel discussions in offshore exploration and production issues across the industry. Delegates will acquire insights from more than 45 prominent industry experts from leading organisations like Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-OPCO), Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO), Ebara, ExxonMobil, GL Global Denton, McDermott, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC) and more. The Exploration and Production conferences, together with the Gas Technology conference, will bring forth interactive dialogues and exchange of ideas that will shape the oil and gas industry.
