Fair Highlights Trade Sourcing and Public Entertainment |
HONG KONG, July 22, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - The Better Living Expo debuts today, featuring a wide variety of innovative lifestyle products and services. Hong Kong's newest trade and public fair, being held through 24 July at the AsiaWorld-Expo, builds on Hong Kong's increasing role as a regional lifestyle trendsetter.
Four Themes
Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Paper Communication Exhibition Services (PCES), the trade and public fair welcomes more than 230 exhibitors representing major brands from around the world. They will focus on four themes: beauty and well being, hobbies and learning, back-to-school products, and value shopping.
Public Entertainment
More than 50 entertaining events showcasing products from these fast-growing sectors are scheduled to attract families and visitors of all age groups.
Special events include competitions involving remote-control model cars and computer-programmed robots created from LEGO components, as well as an air-gun shooting game and charity games using the Nintendo Wii video game console.
Car lovers will also find display of drift cars and limited edition 1:8 remote-control model cars at the fairground.
Sourcing Opportunities
Targeting local consumers and mainland visitors, the three-day event offers new sourcing opportunities for buyers and instant consumer feedback for exhibitors. The fair is AsiaWorld-Expo's first consumer-oriented exhibition with a business-to-business element, catering to a growing demand for lifestyle products.
Opening Day
Highlights include leisure events and entertainment such as a charity show "Wii ARE THE KING!" by Pok Oi Hospital; Metro Live Broadcasting Show and a musical performance by the Yip's Children's Choir & Hong Kong Childre's Symphony Orchestra.
The Beauty & Well-Being section features a "Brand Hot Spot" zone, offering exclusive 50 per cent discounts on select brand names. While at the Hobbies & Learning section, visitors can attend free trial classes in robotics, golf, Go and wine tasting.
The HKTDC organises six fairs with other organisers, including the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair, the Hong Kong International Printing and Packaging Fair, the Hong Kong International Tea Fair and Eco Expo Asia.
