Detroit, Michigan, Dec 2, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - American Axle & Manufacturing, Inc. (AAM), today announced the following new officer appointments:
Mark S. Barrett has been appointed group Vice President, Engineering, Product Development and Procurement. Previously, he served as AAM's Vice President, Engineering and Product Development. In this expanded role, Barrett assumes the additional responsibilities of Global Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
Alberto L. Satine has been appointed group Vice President, Global Sales and Business Development. Previously, he served as AAM's Vice President, Strategic and Business Development. In this expanded role, Satine assumes the additional responsibilities of Global Sales.
Kevin M. Smith has been named Vice President, Driveshaft Business Unit. Prior to assuming this new position, Smith served as Vice President, Program Management and Launch.
Phillip Guys has been named Vice President, Product Engineering. Guys joins AAM from Linamar Corporation, having most recently served as Linamar's Vice President, Global Manufacturing and Engineering. In Guy's 25 year career in the automotive industry, he has been focused on the design, development and manufacturing support of driveline and drivetrain products and systems.
