| The expanded distribution agreement meets customers'growing demand for non-phthalate products |
San Francisco, Dec 13, 2011 - (ACN Newswire) - Connell Brothers, a division of Wilbur-Ellis Company, and the largest marketer and distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients in Asia-Pacific, was appointed by Emerald Kalama Chemical, to distribute its K-FLEX(R) products in Asia to support increased demand in the region for non-phthalate products. Emerald Kalama Chemical is a division of Emerald Performance Materials, LLC and a leading supplier of additives for food and beverage, flavor and fragrance, household and industrial applications.
Connell Brothers was appointed in 2007 as the distributor for KALAMA(R) sodium benzoate for distribution in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and in 2010 for distribution in Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan. Based on the success in these countries, Connell Brothers will now also manage and develop sales for K-FLEX products in China, Hong Kong, India, Japan and Korea, in addition to the aforementioned countries.

K-FLEX plasticizers are used in adhesives, PVC compounds, caulks, sealants, coatings and other latex polymer applications because of their ability to enhance film formation, adhesion, processing characteristics and improve the resistance of the end-product to oil, grease and water. These materials are highly effective, non-phthalate plasticizers and coalescents which have a low VOC content.
These products are non-SVHC, REACH-pre-registered materials, and are readily biodegradable.
