東京, 2018年11月12日 - (JCN Newswire) - 米国のエンジニアリング会社であるBurns & McDonnell (CEO:Ray Kowalik／本社:ミズーリー州カンザスシティー／以下、バーンズ&マクドネル社)と株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼CEO:東原 敏昭)の電力流通事業に関する米国子会社である日立T&Dソリューションズ社(CEO: Ken Badaracco／本社:ジョージア州スワニー／以下、日立)は、このたび、米国オレゴン州に本社を置き、米国西部6州、約190万世帯に対し電力を供給している電力会社であるPacifiCorp(以下、パシフィコープ社)から、ワイオミング州に建設される2つの新しい高電圧変電所と南ワイオミングにあるJim Bridger(ジムブリッジャー)変電所の改修工事プロジェクトを受注しました。バーンズ&マクドネル社はEPCサービスの提供を、日立はプロジェクトに使用される全ての大型変圧器8台とガス遮断器21台を提供します。
パシフィコープ社は、1,000MW以上の風力発電の増加に対応するため、ワイオミング州メディスン・ボウ近郊に500/230キロボルトのAeolus(エオラス)変電所を、ワイオミング州ポイント・オブ・ロックス近郊に500/345キロボルトのAnticline(アンチクライン)変電所を新たに建設する予定です。また、同時に、ポイント・オブ・ロックス近郊にある既存のJim Bridger変電所を改修し、グリッドの安定性を向上させる予定です。
バーンズ&マクドネル社と日立では、今月からエンジニアリング設計を、2019年4月から建設を開始し、2020年末までに完成させる予定です。
