BANGKOK, Sept 13, 2013 - (ACN Newswire) - The 12th annual Hospital Management Asia (HMA) commenced today at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok with 880 delegates representing 398 hospitals and organizations across 34 countries.
Consistent with its educational mission, the two-day event features 6 Plenary and 39 Special Interest Sessions, a CEO Forum, a Health Leaders Summit, twelve best practice presentations and six solutions clinics. The 69 Speakers from 18 countries is probably the best EVER lineup of speakers at a Hospital management event in Asia.
Mr. Ashok Nath, Chairman of Hospital Management Asia opened the conference. Mr. Nath emphasized that HMA is steadfast in its no nonsense educational mission. He also introduced Hospital Directory Asia.
HMA, now on its 12th year is committed to keeping healthcare managers, clinicians and leaders updated on worldwide healthcare management thinking and experience while creating a real and virtual forum for regional networking of healthcare managers.
An integral feature of the HMA is the Asian Hospital Management Awards (AHMA), honoring hospitals for their best hospital practices. The 39 Gold and Excellence winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner and Award ceremonies on September 13 at the Grand Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel.
