HONG KONG, Feb 10, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Sound Global Ltd. ("Sound Global", or the "Company"; Hong Kong Stock Code: 00967.HK) is pleased to announce that the Company has won the following bids: the project to build a number of sewage treatment plants in Xishui County, Guizhou Province and the sewage treatment plant BOT project for Jikou New Emerging Industries Park (Phase I) of Sanming City, Fujian Province, PRC.
The project to build a number of sewage treatment plants in Xishui County
Located in Xishui County of Guizhou Province, phase I of the project includes the construction of sewage treatment plants for 12 villages and townships within the county, all of which will be funded by Sound Global. The BOT (Build; Operate and Transfer) mode will be adopted for the investment, construction, operation and transfer of these plants, and the BT (Build and Transfer) mode will be used for the investment and construction of the ancillary drainage network. The aggregate investment amount of the project is approximately RMB260 million and the concession period granted to the Company is 30 years. As regards the drainage network, it will be repurchased over a three-year period. After completion, the project will not only significantly improve the ecosystem of the surrounding regions of the Chishui River, but also greatly promote the eco-friendly development in the new rural areas.
The sewage treatment plant BOT project in Sanming City
The sewage treatment plant BOT project for Jikou New Emerging Industries Park (Phase I) of Sanming City is located at the Sanming Taiwanese Investment Zone of Sanming City, Fujian Province. Its investment and construction will be undertaken by Sound Global. The long-term and short-term designed daily treatment capacity of the project will be approximately 45,000m3/day and 15,000 m3 /day, respectively. It will be invested, built, operated and transferred as a BOT project. Total investment amount of phase I of the project is approximately RMB50,640,000. It has a licensed operating term of 31 years (inclusive of 1-year construction period). Construction of the project will have great significance to the economic development and sustainable development of Sanming Taiwanese Investment Zone.
