HONG KONG, Dec 11, 2014 - (ACN Newswire) - Sound Global Ltd. ("Sound Global" or "the Company") hereby announces that it has won the bid for the Operation and Maintenance("O&M") projects of the 2nd Sewage Treatment Plant of Baoying County and the sewage treatment plant serving residents in 9 towns in Hongze County, Yangzhou City
The 2nd Sewage Treatment Plant of Baoying County is designed for a total treatment capacity of 50,000 tonnes/day, with the treatment capacity of its 1st phase reaching 20,000 tonnes/day. This project is expected to attain a reusable water rate of 30% in the long run, with an O&M term of three years. Baoying County is where the East Line of the national South-to-North Water Diversion Project stretches from, and known as the first organic food base demonstration county, one of the first model plain afforestation counties and one of the first ecological demonstration zones in China. The successful bid for this project is instructive to further improve the water environment in the region, thus providing strong support for the regional economic development and environmental protection and securing quality water supply for the South-to-North Water Diversion Project.
The sewage treatment plant serving residents in 9 towns in Hongze County has a total treatment capacity of 4,500 tonnes/day with an O&M term of 26 years. So far, the sewage treatment projects in Hongze County have met the regulated operational standards with full coverage, playing an active role in the protection of water environment in Hongze Lake Area.
The successful bid for these two operational projects has further increased the Company's market share in the water market in Jiangsu Province, thereby laying a solid foundation for the Company's further expansion in the water services market in East China.
