Lubrizol and VELOX Feature High-Heat and Flame Retardant Polymers at Fakuma 2015

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, Oct 8, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - Lubrizol Engineered Polymers announces it will be showcasing its latest developments for the wire and cable markets, alongside its distributor VELOX GmbH (Booth No. 5001 in Hall B5). The Fakuma International trade fair for plastics processing takes place in Friedrichshafen, Germany from October 13-17.

Lubrizol's thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) range is especially designed to meet the most demanding high-tech specifications. Lubrizol and VELOX will be featuring the latest Estane(R) TPU innovations for wire and cable applications, with special focus on DACH region as well as emerging markets, like Poland and Czech Republic. VELOX has been successfully representing Lubrizol Engineered Polymers for more than 10 years.

A global leader in supplying TPU specialties for injection moulding, extrusion, adhesives, and compounding polymer solutions, Lubrizol will be highlighting its innovative offering including:

- Estane(R) TS92AP7 NAT 021: New, high-heat TPU is not only formulated for superior abrasion and chemical resistance, but also features excellent high heat resistance and low temperature flexibility. With its UL 125 degrees Celsius rating and UL94 V2 yellow card certification, Estane TS92AP7 is the next generation of high-heat-resistant TPUs for cable jacketing and injection molded components.

- Estane ZHF 92AT3 NAT 022: Halogen-free flame retardant TPU meets UL94 V0 with a LOI of 33% while maintaining toughness and flexibility in various cable applications (robotic, data and communication, or construction). It also meets the stringent UL 1581 section 1061 (3 x 60 seconds) cable flame test for industrial cables with a diameter below 5 mm.

- Estane ZHF 58202 NAT 001 EXP: New, experimental halogen-free grade with low smoke density, low toxicity and compliant to EN 45545 -2 for railways application and UL FT-2 small diameter cable capabilities.
