HONG KONG, Mar 30, 2016 - (ACN Newswire) - China Southern Airlines Company Limited today announced the audited consolidated results of the Company and its subsidiaries for the 12 months ended 31 December 2015, which were prepared in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
During the reporting period, the Group recorded operating revenue of RMB 111.652 billion, net profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company amounted to RMB 3.736 billion; earnings per share were RMB 0.38. The board of company has suggested distribution of cash dividends of RMB 0.8 per 10 shares (tax included).
In 2015, the Group continuously laid solid foundation of safety, strengthened safety trainings and further improved the development of safety dynamic management and optimized information system. The Group accumulated a total of 2.20 million fight hours over the year, and managed to maintain the best safety record among the Chinese aviation companies. In respect of operation, the Group closely followed the hot spots of the market, leveraged the outbound tourism boom and strengthened E-marketing. The group continued optimizing network planning and further improved the relationship between market supply and demand. The Company completed a total of 109 million annual person-time passengers of transportation, occupying the first place among domestic airlines for 37 consecutive years. In respect of services, the Group not only improved services by full ranges of service products and whole-process service care, but also promoted service humanization and electronization in order to provide passengers a relaxing and pleasant experience.
Looking into 2016, the Company stated that China's economy will possibly touch the bottom in a stable and gradual manner and reach a periodic bottom with a moderate or even high growth rate. The global civil aviation industry will maintain sound growth momentum, and China's passenger volume of civil aviation will still achieve rapid growth. In 2016, under the premise of guaranteed safety, the Group, oriented by the market demand, will continually optimize fleet structure in view of macro environment and industry development trend.
