"Think Global, Think Hong Kong" Promotion Opens in Tokyo |
HONG KONG, May 14, 2012 - (ACN Newswire) - Exports of Japanese agricultural and food products will receive a boost following the signing, today in Tokyo, of an agreement between the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and Japan's Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Under the MOU, the HKTDC and the Ministry will work together to promote Japanese food and agricultural exports via HKTDC trade fairs, product magazines, online marketplace ( www.hktdc.com ) and business-matching services.
The HKTDC yesterday kicked off "Think Global, Think Hong Kong," the largest promotional campaign ever launched in Japan. A high-profile delegation of more than 120 Hong Kong government officials and business leaders from 15 sectors will take part in the week-long programme. It's expected that more than 2,000 Japanese corporate leaders, government representatives, heads of small and medium-sized enterprises, services providers, academics and opinion leaders with a special interest in Asia will participate. Hong Kong's role as Asia's services centre and gateway to China business opportunities will be the highlight of two major Think Global, Think Hong Kong symposiums: in Tokyo, 15 May, and Osaka, 17 May.
