| Seamless Tech Integration Facilitates Mobile Business Services |
HONG KONG, Feb 27, 2015 - (ACN Newswire) - The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) has received the "Best m-Government Service Award" 2015 from the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for its Product Magazines App (Appgazine) during the third Government Summit held in Dubai on 9-11 February.

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented the award to Loretta Wan, HKTDC Director of Publications & E-Commerce, during a ceremony at the Madinat Jumeirah in Dubai on 11 February.
"This award is a huge honour for the HKTDC," Ms Wan said. "It acknowledges the hard work and innovation that is required to create a high-quality and user-friendly business app. Responding to the rising trend of online sourcing, the HKTDC strives to strengthen our four-in-one integrated marketplace, including trade fairs, online marketplace, magazines and mobile app, to provide a seamlessly integrated online and offline sourcing experience for both buyers and suppliers."
The Appgazine won the Trade & Economy category for international entries. The app incorporates user-friendly functions and interactive features such as keyword search, bookmarking, notes, voice recording, and instant enquiry, and enables suppliers to provide multimedia content and interact with buyers via this mobile promotional platform.
The "Best m-Government Service Award", launched by the Government of the UAE in 2014, aims to motivate government entities to provide innovative solutions in the field of smart phone applications, mobile web and SMS.
Last month, the HKTDC won three Best Mobile Application Awards at the MobileWebAward 2014 organised by the Web Marketing Association of the United States.
